My Openings series continues from my Doorways works which, in turn, developed from Enfolding.

The stars of my Openings series are hangings which are sewn canvas painted both sides in oils.

They are 30cm wide and a little shorter than an average doorway. They can be hung in all sorts of ways:

• A group of them to create an environment through which people can walk, looking through the opening in each one and between all of the hangings – at whatever else you already have in your environment.
• A number of them forming a straight or curved screening device, maybe around an office area in a living room.
• A row of them hanging from brackets at right angles to a plain wall.
• A pair of them hanging each side of a wide, open doorway.
