Points of Difference

Some points of difference between other art classes and mine

WHEN

Other art classes tell you the times of lessons and duration of courses.

I respond to requests.

Most children do 1 hour lessons; most adults 2 hours – weekly for a term at a time.

Most school children come after school;

most adults and home schooled children come in school time.

But these arrangements are not set in concrete and depend

on what you, as an individual or group, want and I can do –

school terms or holidays.

For details about times available see below.

COSTS

Other art classes have set fees however many in the group

and often don’t include materials.

My fees are on a sliding scale depending on the size of the group

up to a maximum of 6 people

{can include parents with children}

and include at least most of the materials you need.

For details about costs see below.

WHAT

For children, I have tried and tested programmes I adapt where necessary.

I emphasise drawing and painting from close observation of real things and believe that imagination is best developed from this.

I will never give your child a cartoon to copy and would only use photos for specific reasons.

I also teach using materials {esp drawing, paint and collage} in a range of interesting ways.

For adults, I custom design courses based on discussion with you

– at the start and ongoing .

This may be individual tuition or as part of a small group {maximum 6}

where you also have the learning and social advantages of the group.

You can use the artist quality materials I use myself.

 If you think you can’t draw, I promise I can teach you!
